ABOUT MM5 DATA:
Lakes Environmental offers modeled meteorological data for any location in the world. We obtain this data by running the NCAR MM5 (5th-generation Mesoscale Model) prognostic meteorological model for a specified location and site domain.
Once the MM5 preprocessing has been completed, the MM5 output file is converted into a format recognized by the AERMET model (meteorological preprocessor for the AERMOD model). The final output is generated by creating a pseudo met-station at the specified site location.
MET DATA FILES DELIVERED:
The met files delivered to you are described below:
- Surface Met Data: SAMSON format
- Upper Air Met Data: TD-6201 format
Note: Our AERMET-Ready MM5 data is also suitable for use in the PCRAMMET meteorological preprocessor used to prepare met data for the ISCST3 model.
